Fortinet recognized as a Leader on the GigaOm Radar for Zero-Trust Network Access (ZTNA)

Fortinet is recognized for its universal ZTNA solution that is integrated into the FortiGate Firewall providing for rapid deployment and lowest TCO and supporting cloud-based, on-prem or SASE options.  In addition to having the full next-gen firewall security stack applied to the traffic, Fortinet’s Universal ZTNA leverages the Fortinet Security Fabric to enhance a ZTNA deployment with security elements such as EUBA or MFA from Fortinet and a variety of 3rd party vendors.  The ZTNA agent is FortiClient, Fortinet’s VPN agent, which simplifies the transition from VPN to ZTNA, allowing IT teams to move applications to ZTNA control one at a time without disrupting users or existing architectures.

Fortinet is also recognized for strong support for legacy applications, including RDP, SSH, Telnet, FTP, SMB, and other TCP-based protocols, while noting a continuing effort to add additional protocol support.  Furthermore, strong session monitoring capabilities are available with Fortinet Security Fabric tools.
