About the Partnership
Fortinet is delighted to team up with Romain Attanasio, a renowned French professional skipper, who will carry the Fortinet brand all over the world during the Vendée Globe challenge - a solo tour of the world with no possibility of docking or external assistance. The Vendee Globe starts and finishes from the picturesque port of Les Sables d’Olonne on France’s Atlantic coast.
In addition to the Vendée Globe race in 2024, there is also a series of pre-event races in which Romain Attanasio will take part in aboard his Fortinet-Best Western branded, International Monohull Open Class Association (IMOCA) racing yacht. Fitted with new foils, the first trials at sea have recently been successfully completed and the boat is ready to meet the challenges ahead.
"Fortinet is delighted to team up with Romain Attanasio through this partnership that is based on common values and goals,” said Patrice Perche, Chief Revenue Officer & EVP Support at Fortinet. “Fortinet’s vision is to make possible a digital world you can always trust by security data, applications, devices and people everywhere. We do this by delivering broad, integrated and automated security that delivers the highest speed, performance and innovation in the industry. Similarly, technology, innovation and speed are redefining the sport of sailing and we look forward to exciting and engaging racers, fans, employees and customers in the races ahead.”
