Q&A on badges and Credly

What are the differences between an exam badge and a certification badge?

An exam badge is awarded to an individual that passes any exam or completes a course that is valid toward any of the new NSE certifications. Exam badges do not expire. You will receive a new badge any time you pass a new version of an exam or complete a new version of the course. The version of the exam or course is included in the badge.

A certification badge is awarded to an individual that completes all the requirements to achieve an NSE certification. A certification badge has an expiration date that always matches the expiration date of the certification. Certification badges do not have version numbers. You will maintain the same badge, as long as you keep recertifying your certification.

What is a digital badge?

Digital badges can be used in email signatures or digital resumes, and on social media sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. This digital image contains verified metadata that describes your qualifications and the process required to earn them.
