Malta Information Technology Agency Enhances Protection for Citizens’ Data
“The advanced functionality in FortiGate firewalls helps us protect the services the Maltese Government relies on and the data the citizens of Malta entrust to us.”
– Robert Galea, Head of Infrastructure Services Department, MITA
The Malta Information Technology Agency (MITA) is the central agency responsible for delivering the Maltese Government’s IT services. As such, MITA must provide a resilient network infrastructure and robust data protection across more than 600 sites in Malta and Gozo—from ministerial offices to municipal buildings.
MITA needed to enhance its overall security to protect against advanced cyberthreats, and also needed a security solution that would be simple to scale, easy to manage, and make data more accessible to authorized users.
Fortinet’s solutions help MITA continuously improve its security posture and enhance its capabilities. MITA can now automatically marshal advanced threat protection resources to combat threats detected anywhere in the network. It can also easily segment and segregate traffic from the endpoint to the network core and out to multi-cloud environments.
Learn how MITA enhanced protection with FortiGate next generation firewalls in this case study.
