For tollway authorities, there is a conjunction of cybersecurity concerns around personal identifiable information (PII), traffic control, and revenue collection. To stay ahead of threats and protect the residents it serves, one state’s agency therefore accelerated its investment in cybersecurity technology.
It rolled out FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs) with FortiGuard Security Services, FortiClient for endpoint protection, and FortiAnalyzer for post-incident analysis of any cybersecurity events. It is also using FortiNAC (network access control) to better account for devices on the network. The agency’s growing list of solutions operate as part of the Fortinet Security Fabric, giving deep visibility into security across the platform. And as the agency transitions more of its applications to the cloud, it is protecting the business-critical information with the same level of protection that it was used to having in the data center.
