Fortinet Appoints Country Manager for Malaysia

Industry veteran Alex Loh to spearhead Fortinet’s expansion in Malaysia

Malaysia - 14/03/2018
-

Fortinet − a global leader in broad, integrated and automated cybersecurity solutions − today announced that it has appointed seasoned IT executive Alex Loh as its country manager for Malaysia. Loh will lead sales, business development and channel operations to grow Fortinet’s business in the country.

Loh, who has over two decades of experience in the IT industry, has held senior sales, marketing and operations roles in prominent technology companies including VMware, Dimension Data and Datacraft. As a strong organisational leader with deep understanding of IT business dynamics, Loh will drive Fortinet’s mission to deliver the industry’s most innovative and highest performing cybersecurity solutions to enterprises in Malaysia.

Loh will report to Peerapong Jongvibool, Fortinet’s Regional Director for Southeast Asia and Hong Kong.

Digital transformation has changed enterprises’ needs with regards to security – their networks now require orchestrated, end-to-end segmentation built around an adaptive security framework.

“The Malaysian cybersecurity market is expanding rapidly in this digital age where software-defined networks are becoming the norm, along with BYOD and IoT. Organisations undergoing digital transformation also need security transformation, and I am excited at the opportunity to help them defend their growing digital attack surface with broad, intergrated and automated solutions based on  Fortinet’s Security Fabric architecture,” said Loh. “This is especially critical as Malaysia embarks on its ‘Digital Economy’ transformation through key initiatives including Digital Free Trade Zone (DFTZ) and Big Data & Analytics Regional Hub.”

“Alex Loh is a proven business manager and people leader,” said Jongvibool. “I am confident that under his charge, Fortinet will further establish itself as trusted security advisor to Malaysian organizations as they seek to digitally transform themselves in the coming years.”

Loh holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Oklahoma City University.
