Fortinet Makes New Appointment to Drive Danish Channel Expansion

September 1, 2015 – Fortinet® (NASDAQ: FTNT) - a global leader in high-performance cyber security solutions - today announced the appointment of Daniel Grønbek as Channel Accounts Manager for Denmark. Grønbek has been brought on board to drive Fortinet’s ambitious channel strategy, as it continues to expand its presence in the region.

Grønbek’s role will be to develop Fortinet’s penetration into the Danish market, leading the charge to recruit more resellers and systems integrators and managing Fortinet’s strategic partnerships with its distributors. Grønbek will also oversee the organisation’s rapidly growing and committed partner base, following the launch of the new FortiPartner Program earlier this year.

Commenting on his appointment, Grønbek explained, “It feels exciting to be part of a disruptive and fast growing organisation, which is in fact already a major global player! As IT security becomes increasingly a boardroom issue, Fortinet has unique capabilities to enable IT managers to mitigate the risks of ever more frequent and complex threats associated with the demands of new and emerging technologies.”

Grønbek’s experience within the security sector spans almost two decades. He joins Fortinet from Check Point, where he was also channel manager for Denmark. Prior to this, Grønbek built up extensive sales experience, working with companies such as F-Secure, Ingram Micro and Intel.

Grønbek will report directly into Bjarne Kaiser-Lauritzen, Fortinet’s Regional Director for Northern Europe. He added, “Daniel will be an instrumental addition to the Denmark team. As we look to further build on our investment and expand our presence in this new territory, the market is rife with opportunity. Fortinet is viewed as an aggressive new competitor in Denmark and I’m confident that Daniel, along with the rest of the team has the expertise to propel us forward.”
