Frost & Sullivan Recognises Fortinet as 2017 UAE Network Security Company of the Year at the 2017 Frost & Sullivan Middle East Best Practices Awards
Fortinet – the global leader in high-performance cybersecurity solutions, today announced that it has received the 2017 UAE Network Security Company of the Year award from growth consulting firm Frost & Sullivan. Fortinet received the recognition after Frost & Sullivan evaluated the company’s focus on revenue growth, portfolio diversity, the technology roadmap and vision for the future to provider solutions to deal with advanced network security threats.
“The UAE is considered to be a trendsetter for technology adoption and implementation in the entire Middle East. With advancements in IoT, BYOD, Connected devices and Cloud technologies, the risk associated with these developments have also increased,” said Benoy C S, Director & Business Unit Head, Digital Transformation Practice, Frost & Sullivan. “Network security products constitute the bulk of Fortinet’s business in the UAE, while the adoption of cloud, virtual and SDN models is also growing steadily. Fortinet’s go-to-market strategy is an interaction of hardware and software research on threats and malware, and the aggregation of extensive threat intelligence. All this combined defines the way in which the company will market and design solutions for its customers, whether helping a small retailer achieve PCI compliance, ensuring hospitals are health insurance portability and accountability compliant, or putting together carrier solutions for telecoms. Through a strong partner ecosystem, Fortinet tightly integrates and interoperates with all major virtualization SDN cloud security analytics and networking vendors in the UAE.”
Industry analysts at Frost & Sullivan tracked markets and companies by holding detailed interactions with market participants, end-users, other stakeholders, value chain players and extensive research of proprietary data, to compile the Jury Evaluation Matrix. Specific benchmarks were considered to ascertain the final industry ranking, and winners were chosen based on revenue and growth, market share and growth, technology roadmap, and key achievements.
“Fortinet is proud to be announced as the UAE’s leading Network Security Company for 2017. It is a testimony to our technology vision and commitment to our partners and customers,” said Alain Penel, Regional Vice President – Middle East, Fortinet. “The adoption of connected devices, Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud services in the UAE is increasing, and so are the complexities with regard to the security needs surrounding these technologies. With the Fortinet Security Fabric, we are leading the way in security innovation and helping companies in the UAE and across the Middle East address the challenges of security from IoT to the Cloud.”
