Norway’s National Research and Education Network Selects Fortinet

TRONDHEIM, Norway – 8th October, 2015 – Fortinet® (NASDAQ: FTNT) a global leader in high-performance cybersecurity solutions, today announced its selection as one of the main wireless LAN (WLAN) vendors to Norway’s National Research and Education Network UNINETT, as part of a five-year central framework agreement. Led by Fortinet’s Norwegian team and Norwegian partner, nLogic, the agreement will see Fortinet provide wireless networking equipment and services to universities, schools, colleges, research departments and facilities throughout Norway.

"This win is a huge honour for us, as it recognises not only the huge commitment and expertise of our team and our partner nLogic, but also shows confidence in Fortinet’s technology and its ability to deliver," explains David Kelly, VP EMEA wireless at Fortinet. "We’re delighted and look forward to an extremely fruitful relationship over the coming years."

UNINETT services more than 200 Norwegian educational and research institutions and over 300,000 users, connecting them into an international network.

Jacob Fehn from nLogic adds: “We already have a number of higher education and research institutions customers affiliated with UNINETT. This new five-year agreement is a fantastic opportunity for us to extend our reach among the country’s leading educational facilities and to become the number one provider of innovative networking solutions."
