Overview, Goals, and Scope
5G fixed wireless adds to AT&T’s wireless broadband and business fiber network, which currently delivers fixed and wireless connectivity to more than 2.5 million business locations.
Plan options include service with up to 50 Mbps or 100 Mbps, with access to AT&T’s 5G low-band network, 5G+ using millimeter wave, and LTE for data.
Customers will need to have 5G-capable devices and be in areas where 5G+ service is located if they want AT&T’s high-band flavor of 5G. At this point, it is only available in very limited parts of specific cities.
To extend internet edge broadband where wired options aren’t located, and to reinforce internet edge broadband by combining wired and wireless WAN.
