Volkswagen Group Retail France setzt auf Secure SD-WAN von Fortinet

Fortinet® (NASDAQ: FTNT), weltweit führender Anbieter von umfangreichen, integrierten und automatisierten Cyber-Security-Lösungen, unterstützt die Volkswagen Group Retail France (VGRF), Frankreichs führende konzerneigene Volkswagen-Handelsgruppe, mit FortiGate Secure SD-WAN. VGRF setzt die Fortinet-Technologie ein, um über alle Niederlassungen hinweg sichere LAN- und WLAN-Verbindungen aufzubauen.    

Die SD-WAN-Funktionen von Fortinet sind Teil der Fortinet Security Fabric und werden von den Next Generation Firewalls (NGFWs) unterstützt. Mit ihrer Hilfe konnte VGRF ein hybrides WAN einführen, das geografisch verteilte WANs verbindet und das den Datenverkehr über eine Vielzahl von Verbindungen, einschließlich MPLS, weiterleiten kann.

Die FortiGate Secure SD-WAN-Lösung ist eine Plattform, die verschiedene Funktionen wie Routing, WAN-Optimierung, Anwendungskontrolle sowie Sicherheit auf höchstem Niveau bietet. WAN- und Security-Systeme lassen sich so über eine einzige Schnittstelle verwalten. Dadurch kann VGRF nun zwischen verschiedenen Arten von Datenverkehr im WAN unterscheiden und somit Latenzzeiten verwalten sowie geschäftskritische Anwendungen und Datenverkehr priorisieren.    

Sichere Verbindungen zwischen den Zweigstellen

Für VGRF sind mehr als 2.300 Mitarbeiter an mehr als 70 Standorten in Frankreich tätig. Um seine Geschäftsziele zu erreichen, hat die Handelsgruppe in den letzten vier Jahren seine Netzwerkinfrastruktur überarbeitet und die Konfigurationen in allen Niederlassungen standardisiert. Dazu war VGRF auf der Suche nach einem Security-Anbieter, der eine breite Palette an skalierbaren und zuverlässigen Lösungen und Funktionen bietet. Daher entschied sich die Gruppe für die Fortinet Security Fabric mit ihren branchenführenden Produkten und Lösungen – darunter FortiGate Next Generation Firewalls, FortiManager und FortiAnalyzer.
