Fortinet Appoints ACA Pacific Technology As Distributor in Singapore and Malaysia
SINGAPORE, April 9, 2014 ― Fortinet® (NASDAQ: FTNT) − a world leader in high-performance network security – and ACA Pacific Technology, a regional value-added distributor specializing in enterprise network security and storage, today announced that they have signed an agreement to distribute Fortinet's complete suite of security solutions in Singapore and Malaysia. This appointment augments Fortinet's existing distributorships with Pacific Tech and SIS in Singapore, and Ingram Micro, Spectrum Edge and Pacific InTech in Malaysia.
Fortinet is fully focused on providing solutions to organizations lot help them securely build and grow their IT infrastructure. The vendor offers an end-to-end suite of network security solutions that extends from the endpoint to the data center and from the edge to Web applications. Besides its core FortiGate® network security platforms, Fortinet’s portfolio of solutions include WiFi access points, secure email gateways, application delivery controllers, Web application firewalls and anti-DDoS appliances.
ACA Pacific Technology's primary mandate is to tap its enterprise focussed channel network and long experience of more than 20 years in the enterprise security space to sell Fortinet's solutions into large organizations in Singapore and Malaysia.
George Chang, Fortinet's Vice President for Southeast Asia and Hong Kong, said: "With online threats becoming more plentiful and sophisticated, enterprises have come to recognize that they cannot skimp on IT security. The market for high performing yet cost-effective security solutions will continue to grow. We are confident that ACA Pacific Technology, with its strong base of enterprise-level network security resellers, will help us deepen penetration into enterprises in both countries and gain market share."
Fortinet chose ACA Pacific Technology over other distributors for this partnership also because of the latter's track record of success in driving network security sales, proven technical expertise and solid execution plan. In Malaysia, ACA Pacific Technology has a solid reseller base in smaller cities and in East Malaysia, where Fortinet is trying to grow its business. ACA Pacific Technology has been an established IT Marketing & Value-Added distributor since 1986.
Mark Gill, ACA Pacific Technology's Managing Director, said: “We are delighted at this opportunity to partner a network security leader like Fortinet. Their cutting edge solutions, paired with our unparalleled reach into enterprises, will be a winning proposition that's hard to match in the Malaysia and Singapore markets. With our extensive network of over 1300 trained and experienced channel partners in these countries, we are confident that we will be able to help Fortinet address ever changing business dynamics."
