Fortinet Receives Frost & Sullivan Network Security Vendor of the Year Award

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, April 16, 2014 – Fortinet® (NASDAQ: FTNT) − a world leader in high-performance network security − today announced that it has received the 2014 Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Network Security Vendor of the Year Award. The Award was presented yesterday at the 2014 Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Excellence Awards banquet held at the Traders Hotel in Puteri Harbour, Johor, Malaysia.

This accolade pays tribute to Fortinet’s market share leadership, product innovation and consistent efforts in meeting customer needs. It also recognises Fortinet's broad range of network security solutions and success in acquiring major customers throughout 2013.

This is the third time in 12 months that Fortinet has received Frost & Sullivan's prestigious Network Security Vendor of the Year award in the region. It was awarded for India in May 2013, and again for Asia Pacific in July 2013.

An independent panel of eminent judges including industry leaders from across the Malaysian ICT sector as well as Frost & Sullivan’s ICT analyst team evaluated the various contenders for this Award based on their market performance, business strategy, innovation with new products, and alignment with key industry trends. The award Fortinet received covers the Firewall/IPSec VPN, SSL VPN and IDS/IPS segments.

“Fortinet continued its strong growth momentum in the Malaysian network security market in 2013,” said Vu Anh Tien, research analyst, ICT Practice at Frost & Sullivan. The company offers extensive product portfolios that meet the different needs of varied customers from SMBs to large enterprises across all verticals. Besides, its commitment to technological innovation and ability to cater to the rising demand for emerging advanced security solutions such as APT, DDoS, cloud and mobility also enabled Fortinet to expand its customer base and foothold in the marketplace.”

Frost & Sullivan's Best Practices Awards recognise firms in a variety of global and regional markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service and strategic product development. Industry analysts compare market participants and measure performance through in-depth interviews, analysis and secondary research.

Dato' Seri George Chang, Fortinet's Vice President for Southeast Asia & Hong Kong, said: "We are proud that our exceptional levels of performance, innovation and service are recognised by Frost & Sullivan and IT industry professionals in Malaysia and the region. We will continue to invest in talent and technology and expand our operations, so that more enterprises can enjoy the business benefits of a secured IT infrastructure."
