The Paris Call for Trust and Security in Cyberspace was launched in 2018 by French President Emmanuel Macron as a global initiative. This declaration of solidarity gathers organizations from different sectors – countries, public and private sector, and civil society – who pledge to work together to strengthen international cybersecurity standards and prevent against malicious online activity.
On the first anniversary of this initiative, the French government has called for a renewed commitment to building a multi-stakeholder approach to cybersecurity. Fortinet is proud to join the Paris Call for Trust and Security in Cyberspace.
Ken Xie, Fortinet’s Founder, Chairman of the Board, and CEO, stated: “Fortinet firmly believes in the importance of global multi-stakeholder collaboration and information-sharing to combat cybercrime. By supporting this international effort, we strengthen our commitment to collaborate, educate, and develop powerful global solutions to reduce current and future cyberattacks and deter cybercrime. The initiative represents another step forward in our own mission to secure the largest enterprises, service providers and government organizations in the world.”
By supporting the Paris Call for Trust and Security in Cyberspace, Fortinet will collaborate with leaders worldwide in addressing the growing challenge of cybercriminal activity. This initiative is an important step forward in weaving cybersecurity into the fabric of our digital society. As new technologies emerge, networks and systems converge, and societies adopt new ways to interconnect people and things, cybercriminals will look to leverage this expanding digital attack surface for their benefit.
Fortinet is proud to support and promote this effort, and encourages other organizations, especially those engaged in the fight against cybercrime, to participate. Learn more about the Paris Call for Trust and Security in Cyberspace and what its supporters are working together to achieve.
