Business & Technology
Attending Microsoft Ignite this year? Come meet the expert Fortinet team at this year’s Microsoft Ignite event, from November 4-8, 2019 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. You will have an opportunity to learn more about our recent Microsoft Ignite announcements, participate in hands-on security demos, attend essential theater sessions, and meet with top security professionals at our expert bar. Fortinet is also proud to be a Gold Sponsor at this year’s Ignite event.
The Fortinet Security Fabric for public cloud extends consistent, best-in-class enterprise security to MS Azure and then seamlessly interconnects security policies and protects business workloads across on-premises and cloud environments, including multi-layered protection for born-in-the-cloud applications.
Plan on visiting Fortinet at Booth 519 to experience how the Security Fabric has been designed to complement native Azure Security. The Fortinet Security Fabric provides public cloud users with the ability to apply and manage consistent policies throughout their multi-cloud infrastructures, resulting in consistent enforcement and visibility. And as a native Azure solution, the Fortinet Security Fabric offers deep, multi-layer protection and operational benefits for securing applications over Azure as well as for managing global security infrastructures from the cloud.
Hands-on Demo Stations: To provide attendees with critical information about these four essential cloud security solutions we look forward to welcoming you to Booth 519. We will have live demo stations available covering the following four topics and technologies:
Expert Bar: While there, you can also visit with our professional Cloud and Microsoft Technical team at our Expert Bar open throughout the entire event. They will be available to answer questions, discuss solutions, and help with your organization’s unique requirements.
Fortinet Security Fabric Theater: We will also have an ongoing series of essential presentations in our in-booth theater. Topics will include:
1. Securing Your Cloud On-Ramp using Azure Virtual WAN and Fortinet Secure SD-WAN
Learn how Fortinet’s Secure SD-WAN solution tightly integrates into the Azure Virtual WAN architecture to provide cloud connectivity that is automated, optimized, fault resistant and secure.
2. Protecting Containers and Kubernetes Clusters with Fortinet
Learn how to protect applications hosted on containerized, serverless, and virtualized infrastructures, including securing North/South traffic utilizing K8S/Azure connectors and securing East/West traffic using Kubernetes clusters. Additionally, see how Fortinet’s WAF, Sandbox, and AI technologies can further protect cloud-based applications.
3. Creating a Scalable Cloud Security Architecture
This session will review tested and recommended cloud architectures utilizing security best practices, with a focus on scalability and high assurance. This will include an explanation of how different VM instance sizes (using a vendor that truly takes advantage of multiple cores) is key in building a scalable design.
4. Leveraging Machine Learning and AI to Secure Cloud Native Applications
This presentation will showcase how Fortinet uses Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to detect the latest threats, as well as how Fortinet’s FortiWeb solutions leverage these technologies to secure your applications – both in and off the cloud.
5. Enhancing Platform Security with FortiCWP
Cloud security depends on customers sharing security responsibility, which can lead to confusion, misconfigurations, and security gaps. Learn how Fortinet’s cloud workload protection solution, FortiCWP, integrates with Azure’s native security technologies to stop misconfigurations, identify suspicious behaviors, track compliance with leading compliance regimes, and provide essential Cloud security analytics and posture management.
Fortinet Customer Session in The Hub: On Monday, November 4, from 2:15PM – 2:35PM in Theater D, Fortinet customer Shiva P. Thatipelli, Architect, Infrastructure & Operations at CarMax, will discuss “Why CarMax selected Fortinet on Microsoft Azure for their Cloud Deployments”.
Attendees will learn why and how CarMax has deployed highly available FortiGate virtual appliances to achieve complete automation using Azure Native Load balancers. Exploring the FortiGate appliances through Pay-as-You go model and converting to Bring Your Own License, CarMax has been successfully using FortiGate solutions in the cloud for the past two years. In this session, Shiva will walk attendees though his journey of deployment, management, and protecting the CarMax perimeter in their hybrid Azure cloud environment.
We look forward to seeing you at this year’s MS Ignite conference. We’d love to help you learn more about how Fortinet’s multi-cloud solutions provide the necessary visibility and control across cloud infrastructures to enable secure applications and connectivity – from the data center to the cloud.
