The strong ties between Fortinet and its channel partner community account for much of the value Fortinet delivers to customers, end users, and the world at large. Seeking to increase the amount of news about partner activity and initiatives, we are launching a bi-weekly blog post series.
Specifically, we want to raise awareness around the role of partners in the Fortinet value chain and share news from and about the Fortinet partner community that both partners and customers will find useful. What you are currently reading is one way we intend to highlight the great work our partners are doing in the field and to make our customers more aware of Fortinet interactions with partners that touch on their relationships.
Jon Bove has rejoined Fortinet in a new role as Vice President for North America Channels. Jon is an experienced hand at Fortinet, joining the company as National Channel Manager in 2012, advancing to become Regional VP of U.S. Channels in 2016. After a brief break from Fortinet, he has rejoined the company with some valuable fresh perspective. Stay tuned for an interview with Jon on our blog coming soon.
Fortinet is stepping up its efforts to encourage partners to achieve widely recognized certifications in cybersecurity subject matter areas. It almost goes without saying that the more expertise a partner can deploy in customer engagements, the more value they can deliver. Also, in a field as dynamic and rapidly changing as cybersecurity, staying current with the latest development is essential to effectiveness in resolving cybersecurity problems faced by customers.
Fortinet partners hold various Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) certifications today, depending on their partnership levels. NSE certification isn’t limited to partners, as customers and partners can sign up for the eight-level NSE certification program. It includes self-paced and instructor-led courses, in addition to practical, experiential exercises that demonstrate mastery of network security concepts.
Customers with existing FortiGate Firewalls may be eligible for lower pricing on FortiSandbox solutions. Access the Fortinet partner portal to learn more about the FortiSandbox promotion we recently launched. Notably, with the growing volume and sophistication of cyberattacks, security leaders and experts see sandboxing as an essential component of their security strategies to help combat previously unknown threats.
