SUNNYVALE, Calif., November 9, 2010 - Fortinet® (NASDAQ: FTNT) - a leading network security provider and a worldwide leader of unified threat management (UTM) solutions today announced that it has become new contractual partner of Telekom Deutschland GmbH, a fixed-network and mobile communications provider, part of Deutsche Telekom. Fortinet will provide its FortiGate UTM solution for the ÏBusiness Network Protect offering of Telekom Deutschland, which addresses the network requirements of small and medium-sized enterprises with up to 1,000 employees, and delivers security solutions that were previously available for large enterprises with complex IT infrastructures only.
With Fortinets FortiGate UTM appliances, Telekom Deutschland is able to enhance their customers network security even more. FortiGate appliances provide SMBs with integrated firewall and VPN functions (IPSec and SSL), intrusion prevention/detection, antivirus, antispyware, antispam and web filtering technologies, application control, data loss prevention, dynamic routing, endpoint NAC, SSL inspection and WAN optimization, and thus offer comprehensive security options at the enterprise level to protect networks from Internet threats.
The ÏBusiness Network Protect offering of Telekom Deutschland specifically targets small and medium-sized companies planning to implement a modern security infrastructure. The offer includes the protection of remote and home offices as well as laptops, smart phones, Web-2.0 applications, and shared networks.
