Worldwide Interactive Entertainment Company Selects Fortinet FortiGate-5000 Systems to Secure Corporate Headquarters and Major Retail Store
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept. 11, 2006 - Fortinet - the pioneer and leading provider of multi-threat security solutions - today announced that Nintendo of America Inc., a leader in interactive entertainment, has purchased and will deploy Fortinet's FortiGate™-5000 Series high-end multi-threat security systems and FortiGuard subscription services. Nintendo will use the Fortinet platform to protect its Redmond, Washington, corporate headquarters, retail Nintendo World Store in New York City, and more than 1,000 in-office and remote employees.
Nintendo chose Fortinet's security platform over competing solutions from other vendors, including Juniper Networks, based on the integration of key security functions - specifically, firewall, intrusion prevention (IPS), antivirus and web content filtering - along with the superior performance, scalability, and ease-of-management the systems provide.
