SC Magazine reviewers highlighted the FortiMail-400B as having excellent anti-spam capabilities and "flexible, granular enterprise-based administration." SC Magazine evaluated areas including features, performance, ease-of-use, documentation, support and value for money. The FortiMail's overall rating was out of a possible five stars.

The FortiMail-400B is a mid-enterprise email security appliance that is deployed in front of email resources and servers to block spam and viruses from penetrating email systems so that they never reach end-user mailboxes.
