Local Distributor B & Data Has Been Chosen to Manage the Centers Operations
HONG KONG, May 6, 2010 - Fortinet® (NASDAQ: FTNT) - a leading network security provider and worldwide leader of unified threat management (UTM) solutions, today announced the opening of its first Authorized Training Center (ATC) in the Hong Kong & Macau territory. The training center will be managed by local distributor B & Data and is strategically positioned to increase local revenues through higher customer interaction and partnership opportunities.
According to Cherry Fung, country manager for Fortinet in Hong Kong and Macau, ÏB & Data has been Fortinets distributor in the territory since 2008 and has a successful track record in operating training centres in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. We are therefore pleased to partner with them for the launch of our first ATC in Hong Kong. This new ATC is a strategic move for Fortinets channel to support our customers, in particularly enterprise accounts.
The new ATC will help improve certification of Fortinets channel partners by facilitating their access to the Fortinet Certified Network Security Professional (FCNSP) certification level. The first training sessions available will cover the FortiGate Multi-Threat Security Systems I and II modules, which enable network managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the FortiGate security appliances in the areas of content inspection, administration and maintenance.
Patrice Perche, Vice President of International Sales and Support for Fortinet, adds, ÏThe opening of our new ATC centre is an important step in reinforcing our FortiPartner Program in Asia and ensure that our partners have an educated approach to pursue high-end opportunities. Customers can benefit too, as they can learn about Fortinets solutions in a systematic and progressive manner to better manage and maintain their network security deployments.

As a small focused team working on a variety of high profile projects, our main priorities are the quality of our work and the service we provide. IT has never been top of the agenda; the construction industry as a whole continues to use traditional processes and still communicates via fax and post in many instances. However, as more of our partners are working electronically, our IT has become business critical, and the need to secure our IT assets was something we knew we had to address, but without our IT expenditure going through the roof.
