Fortinet Appoints New Director of Channel, Marketing and Renewals for the EMEA Region

Emilio oman Promoted to a Pan-egional ole to Further Drive High-Value Business with Fortinet Partners

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept. 8, 2009 - Fortinet® - a market-leading network security provider and worldwide leader of unified threat management (UTM) solutions today announced the appointment of Emilio oman as its new EMEA director of channel, marketing and renewals. After five years of sales management in the Iberia region, oman brings a strong field experience to the role, which will help him drive a high-value marketing and business strategy with Fortinet partners across the EMEA region.

oman has more than 15 years of sales and management experience gained at various companies including Fortinet, Attachmate and Samsung Electronics. In 2004, he joined Fortinet as country manager for Iberia and started business in that region. Within five years, he brought Fortinet to a leadership position in Portugal and Spain, where, according to IDC, Fortinet is number one in UTM and number two in the network security appliances market in factory revenue*. In that role, oman also built Fortinets a successful channel in the region, which now counts more than 150 partners.
