Patrick Lai Joins Leading Network Security Vendor to Capture Enterprise Market
HONG KONG - December 8, 2008 - Fortinet® - the pioneer and leading provider of unified threat management (UTM) solutions, today announced the appointment of Patrick Lai as the new channel sales manager for Hong Kong and Macau. Lai brings broad-based IT security and channel experience to the role, where he will partner with the local channel to accelerate adoption of Fortinet's multi-threat security appliances. In his role, he will drive channel recruitment and enablement, engage and ensure the partners' high performance within the region. Lai will also be driving demand by interfacing with new and existing end customers.

Lai was previously the channel sales manager at F5 Networks, overseeing the Hong Kong and Macau territory. His experience with channel engagement, enablement and partner base certification will benefit Fortinet in strengthening the channels. Prior to that, Lai was the regional manager for B & Data, one of Fortinet's distribution partners today.
