(NYSE: CHT) has deployed Fortinet FortiGate® multi-threat security appliances as the security backbone for its newly updated HiNet managed security service (MSS) offering. Fortinets FortiGate-80C has been selected to secure HiNets latest broadband promotional service called Security Fleet 2010. Back by popular demand, this new offering is an upgraded offering from the well-received Security Fleet 2.0 offering, which was also based on the FortiGate-60B security platform.

With FortiGate-80C appliances, HiNet, the leading service provider in the Taiwan, can protect customers networks against the blended threatscape, a situation in which Internet threats get more sophisticated and dangerous. UTM solutions provide broad and holistic protection against the blended threatscape.
