SUNNYVALE, Calif., October 20, 2004 - Fortinet, Inc., the confirmed market leader in Unified Threat Management and only provider of ASIC-accelerated network-based antivirus firewall systems for real-time network protection,today announced that oy's estaurants Hawaii, founded by famous chef oy Yamaguchi, has deployed Fortinet's FortiGate Antivirus Firewall platform to protect its wide area network (WAN) and Fortinet's FortiClient Host Security software to enable secure and affordable remote access between restaurants and for traveling employees.

oy's estaurants creates and serves fine Hawaiian fusion cuisine from 30 restaurants around the world, six of which are located across four Hawaiian Islands. oy's wanted to create an integrated and secure wide area network (WAN) that connected each of their Hawaiian restaurants without a huge expense and better protect against network viruses, worms and other cyber attacks. Additionally, centralized management and secure remote access was a critical requirement as their Executive staff resides at the company headquarters on the Island of Oahu. Office personnel frequently traveled to the outer-island restaurants requiring access to the central servers. oy's estaurants found their solution in Fortinet's FortiGate Antivirus Firewalls and FortiClient Host Security software.
