Fortinet Joins RSA Security Partner Program, Enabling Seamless Integration of Two-Factor Authentication with FortiGate Antivirus Firewalls

SUNNYVALE, Calif., April 29, 2004 — Fortinet – the only provider of ASIC-powered, network-based antivirus firewall systems for real-time network protection – today announced that it has joined the RSA Secured® Partner Program. As part of the program, both the FortiGate™ and FortiWiFi™ antivirus firewall products have been awarded RSA SecurID® Ready certification, signaling the interoperability with RSA SecurID two-factor authentication technology.

This most recent validation from RSA Security further strengthens Fortinet’s already impressive, integrated capabilities for implementing secure connections to critical data resources. Thousands of customers worldwide use Fortinet’s products to implement high performance, secure virtual private networks (VPNs) for remote workers and partners. To support these applications, FortiGate and FortiWiFi platforms include ICSA-certified IPSec VPN functionality, along with ICSA-certified antivirus, firewall, and intrusion detection capabilities. This ensures that VPN tunnels cannot be used to transport viruses, worms, Trojans or other content-based threats.
