Fortinet Joins RSA Security Partner Program, Enabling Seamless Integration of Two-Factor Authentication with FortiGate Antivirus FirewallsRSA Secured® Certification Supports Growing Demand for Strong Authentication for VPNs and Other ApplicationsSUNNYVALE, Calif., April 29, 2004 Fortinet the only provider of ASIC-powered, network-based antivirus firewall systems for real-time network protection today announced that it has joined the RSA Secured® Partner Program. As part of the program, both the FortiGate and FortiWiFi antivirus firewall products have been awarded RSA SecurID® Ready certification, signaling the interoperability with RSA SecurID two-factor authentication technology. This most recent validation from RSA Security further strengthens Fortinets already impressive, integrated capabilities for implementing secure connections to critical data resources. Thousands of customers worldwide use Fortinets products to implement high performance, secure virtual private networks (VPNs) for remote workers and partners. To support these applications, FortiGate and FortiWiFi platforms include ICSA-certified IPSec VPN functionality, along with ICSA-certified antivirus, firewall, and intrusion detection capabilities. This ensures that VPN tunnels cannot be used to transport viruses, worms, Trojans or other content-based threats. In addition, many organizations use Fortinets granular policy and multi-zone capabilities to segment internal networks and limit access to key servers and applications only to designated employees. The RSA Secured certification adds the power of two-factor authentication to this broad range of security functions, and ensures that only authorized users can connect to critical data resources whether from outside the company or within. We are pleased to welcome Fortinet to the RSA Secured Partner Program, said Stuart Cohen, director of partner development at RSA Security. Our relationship with Fortinet helps enable our joint customers to select the right level of investment and security to protect their business. Fortinets award-winning FortiGate and FortiWiFi series of ASIC-accelerated antivirus firewalls detect and eliminate the most damaging, content-based threats from email and Web traffic such as viruses, worms, intrusions, inappropriate Web content, all in real-time without degrading network performance. The FortiGate and FortiWiFi systems deliver a full range of network-level services, including firewall, VPN, intrusion detection and traffic shaping, as well as application-level services such as antivirus and content filtering, in dedicated, easily managed platforms. Customers recognize the value of having tried-and-tested

Deloitte Touche TohmatsuSan Jose, California Fortinet has allowed us to bring our network security services in-house rather than spending money for an outsourced vendor to manage the network. A unified security solution works best for us, as we have a relatively small technical team. The FortiGate solution helps us to manage our time, skills and on-going costs more effectively. Because of our Fortinet deployment, we are expecting to save $1.5 million in network security costs over the next three years. |
