Fortinet Launches New Wired and Wireless Antivirus Firewalls for Small and Medium Sized Businesses at RSA Conference

Designed to meet the complete content security needs of small to medium sized businesses, both the FortiWiFi-60 and FortiGate-50A antivirus firewalls include antivirus protection along with a full suite of network-level and content security functions including antivirus, firewall, intrusion detection/prevention, content filtering, VPN, and traffic shaping functions.

With increased memory and processing power, the FortiGate-50A system builds on the strengths of the original FortiGate-50 antivirus firewall to deliver enhanced network performance and throughput at a rate of 50 megabits (Mbps) for firewall, 10 Mbps for VPN and 8 Mbps for antivirus screening. While sized and priced to meet the needs of smaller offices, the FortiGate-50A system delivers the same enterprise class, networkbased antivirus, content filtering, firewall, VPN, and network-based intrusion detection/prevention features supported by all FortiGate models.
