Emilio Roman, Fortinet country manager, received the award during the reception of the 18th edition of Securmática

today announced that it has received the UTM award from SIC, a leading Spanish magazine specialized in security for IT and communications. SIC has awarded Fortinet in recognition to "its growth as a UTM company that develops technology and products for a unified defense against threats and security risks".
The SIC awards are the best acknowledged awards within the IT security industry in Spain. Those were created by the magazine in 2004 to recognize the strength and full growth of Spanish companies and professionals, whose work contributes to the development of the IT security industry.
Emilio Roman, country manager for Spain and Portugal at Fortinet, received the award at the SIC magazine reception that happened during Securmática 2007, the annual congress of information security in Spain. This event highlights and defines the new security market trends and strategies, and gathers the main companies and institutions of the industry.
