JOB TITLE: Technical Trainer Network Security   

Job Description:

Working the for the Research and Development group, the technical trainer is responsible for developing and delivering training to our end customers, partners and internal employees in the EMEA region. The training courses focus on our latest product developments and core technologies. You will bring to the group expertise in one area and contribute to the overall courseware development.

The role of a trainer is both technical and commercial, and therefore requires someone with a b technical grounding and a commercial flair. It is imperative that the candidate can work well in a globally dispersed team and is a self-starter who can work with minimum supervision.

The role requires a 30% travel time, which on average equates to one week per month. The travel is essentially in the EMEA region however you will need to attend meetings at our North America head office and engineering sites, and possibly deliver trainings in other regions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Expert knowledge in more than one of the following subjects is required: Networking (Ethernet, IP Routing, Dynamic Routing Protocols), Firewalling, Content Inspection (Web Filtering, Antivirus and Intrusion Detection), Authentication, Virtual Networking (VLAN, VPN, VRF) and Network Security Forensics.
  • Knowledge of Database, Relational Database Management Systems and Web Application Servers would be desirable.
  • Knowledge of other vendors’ products would be an advantage.

JOB TITLE: Technical Account Manager   

Job Description:

As a member of the Support Team, you will use your deep understanding of networking/security architectures and general knowledge about current trends in the e-market to promote product quality, while providing best solutions. You will work with in-house and offshore teams of developers, sales teams and regional support teams in a fast paced environment.

For this position, you have demonstrated experience in participating in the support escalation process, which includes pre-sales experience, as well as great customer facing skills. You must also be extremely resourceful, creative, and professional. Zeal to drive customer issues to complete resolution is a must. Experience in working in cross-functional teams dedicated to solving complex issues is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Centrally manage all outstanding customer support issues and provide reports to customers in a timely manner
  • Prioritize outstanding customer issue and assure timely resolution
  • Answer customer technical queries (non-case related) in a timely manner
  • Lab testing for new features, software, hardware and provide feedback and reports internally and to customers
  • Provides level 3 technical support to dedicated Fortinet Customers, via telephone or email.
  • Responsible for tracking, maintaining and resolving incident reports and customer support requests while interfacing with SEs, partners, and customers.
  • Represents the interests of the customers with internal test replication scenarios while interfacing with development and QA teams as required.
  • Contributes to the organization as a Subject Matter Expert.
  • Promotes technical knowledge distribution, by writing technical bulletins and application notes for both internal and external audiences.
  • Update and provide guidance on new releases and features to dedicated customers
  • Single point of contact for dedicated customers
  • Maintain documentation for dedicated customers' networks
  • Arrange conference calls and meetings for dedicated customers to resolve support related issues

Technical Requirements:

  • 8 - 10 years relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, L2/L3 switches
  • Experience with security products firewalls, IPSec, IDS/IPS, Anti Spam, virus scanning
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Administrator level working knowledge of Windows, UNIX or Linux
  • Previous Tech support positions, or possibly a Sales Engineering background.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in EE, CS, or CE or equivalent experience.

Job Description:

Fortinet is expanding our EMEA TAC team and is looking for strong technical support engineers/specialists at all levels. We want candidates with the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; to gather and analyze information and to skillfully develop alternatives.

All positions require strong oral and written communication skills. Oral communication skills include the ability to speak clearly and persuasively, to listen carefully to ensure full understanding of the situation, and to respond well to questions when dealing with both positive and negative situations. All positions also require the ability to write clearly to provide full information as well as to understand and interpret written information.

**Please note that this is not an IT/system administration position.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide direct technical support via the phone and web based systems to our customers and partners though-out the EMEA Region.
  • Analysis and technical investigation of reported problems involving Fortinet products
  • Provide technical solutions to address customer issues
  • Reproduction of customer environments on lab equipment
  • Follow up technical cases, escalate, and manage the right expectation until the closure of the cases
  • Creation of technical documentation and bulletins to improve internal and external knowledge base
  • Take initiatives and ownership of the problem to drive for results

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 4+ years experience in a technical support role
  • Strong understanding of data networking protocols, specifically TCP/IP, routing and switching
  • Experience with security products firewalls, IPSec, IDS/IPS, Anti Spam, virus scanning
  • Administrator level working knowledge of Windows, Linux or Unix skills an advantage
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Previous support center experience, preferably supporting networking or security products
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Special requirements: Fluent in English (written and spoken) is a must- Spanish / Italian is recommended.
