According to the network security firm Fortinet, 89 percent of workers have cloud storage on their devices, and 70 percent of them use the space to store work-related files, and 33 percent store customer data on the cloud, allowing them to gain access to it from their personal devices.
FortiWeb-VM for AWS, which is designed to help organizations secure their Web applications and meet compliance requirements, can be used based on an hourly or annual subscription. One of the main advantages of the new offering is that it provides AWS users predictable cost models and enables them to scale the solution depending on their needs, Fortinet said.

Tamir Hardof, vice president of product marketing for Fortinet, says the FortiGate 300D and 500D provide the ability to deploy a variety of security services, including VPN control, generic routing encapsulation (GRE) acceleration, anomaly-based intrusion prevention and traffic shaping and priority queuing, at wire speeds of eight and 16 Gigabits-per-second.
